Long DescriptionBased on the same-titled novel by James M. Cain (DOUBLE INDEMNITY, MILDRED PIERCE) THE POSTMAN ALWAYS RINGS TWICE is a quintessential film-noir classic. The sign outside the roadside diner says "Man Wanted". Drifter Frank Chambers (John Garfield) knows the sign has more than one meaning when he spots pouty, luminous Cora (Lana Turner), the years younger bride of the diner's proprietor. The tale of murderous attractions and career-benchmark performances by Garfield and Turner, who botch a first attempt to bump off Cora's hubby is an edge-of-your-seat ride. THE BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Appearances are everything in Hollywood. So when conniving moviemaker Jonathan Shields realizes few mourners will show up for the funeral of his equally conniving father, he knows what to do: hire extras. Kirk Douglas gives a magnetic Oscar nominated performance as Shields, who turns talent, charisma and ruthlessness into film success, stomping on careers and creating enemies along the way. Vincente Minelli masterfully directs this winner of 5 Academy Awards into a rare insider glimpse into the ugly business of Tinsletown. Stellar performances by Douglas, Lana Turner, Walter Pidgeon, Dick Powell and Gloria Grahame. DARK PASSAGE: Bogey's on the lam in director Demer Daves' stylish film-noir thriller that pairs real-life husband and wife Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall in their third of four picture the couple made together. Bogart is Vincent Parry, a prison escapee framed for murder who emerges from plastic surgery with a new face. Bacall is Irene Jansen, his lone ally. In sharp support iAgnes Moorehead plays a venomous harpy finding pleasure in the unhappiness of others. Bogey and Bacall's electric chemistry is augmented with undeniable tenderness. Exceptional too are San Francisco locations ad creative camerawork that shows Vincent's point of view--but not Bogey's face--until the bandages are removed.

The extra items are numerically indexed and provide extra text to go along with numeric values such as weights or distances or even currencies. The attributes that use these extra indexes are all numeric and take two fields. You can send the data in a single field as long as you use the same short or long text that we keep in our database.

Although the data feed API can deliver information as JSON or XML, we are using XML here because it is easier to read.

Looking at this example, you can see that the EXTRA portion is an array of values each with their own properties. Here is what each section means:

This extra information is normally used in a drop down box next to the numeric data field that we want to enhance. Some examples might be:

You see we can display the long or short version of the extra code by using the ID index.

Fields that make use of this extra information require it when pushing data back to us in the feed. You can either send the data in two fields (value and extra_id) or in a single field (value) as long as the text following the numeric portion matches the long or short version of the extra data we store for the field.

For example, if you wanted to update a field that represented distance with the value "100 yards", you could either send that data just like that in the value field value=100+yards or in two seperate fields value=100&extra_id=505 and you would get the same results. If you send an invalid extra_id or text after the number that doesn't match our accepted list, your update would be rejected.
