Long Description
Although the war in Afghanistan is now in its endgame, the West’s struggle to eliminate the threat from Al Qaeda is far from over. A decade after 9/11, the war on terror has entered a new phase and, it would seem, a new territory. In early 2010, Al Qaeda operatives were reportedly “streaming” out of central Asia toward Somalia and the surrounding region.

Somalia, now home to some of the world’s most dangerous terrorists, was already the world’s most failed state. Two decades of anarchy have spawned not just Islamic extremism but piracy, famine, and a seemingly endless clan-based civil war that has killed an estimated 500,000, turned millions into refugees, and caused hundreds of thousands more to flee and settle in Europe and North America.

What is now happening in Somalia directly threatens the security of the world, possibly more than any other region on earth. James Fergusson’s book is the first accessible account of how Somalia became the world’s most dangerous place and what we can—and should—do about it.

Over the past few months, we have been making some very big changes to the site. You have already seen some of the cosmetic changes but the bulk of the changes have been behind the scenes.

The biggest changes have all happened on the database side of things. We have changed the way we collect, review and display the information for each product.

Although most people won't care about the changes that happen in the background, some of those changes also come with updates to the user interface beyond simple cosmetics.

We hope to have the new version out to the public in the next few weeks and by the end of this year for sure. But we would like to offer a few users the opportunity to try out the new site in the testing environment.

Basically, we would like a few people to just play around in the test area and if something isn't working as expected, just let us know.

If this is something you might be interested in, please contact us. We will set up a user account for you and then you can test.

Just keep in mind, as people are testing, we will continue to make improvements so the test site may change a little from day to day.
