|Long Description||The year is 2018. There are no wars. There is no crime. There is only... The Game. In a world where ruthless corporations reign supreme, this vicious and barbaric 'sport is the only outlet for the pent-up anger and frustrations of the masses. Tuned to their televisions, the people watch Rollerball : a brutal mutation of football, motocross and hockey. Jonathan E. (James Caan, Misery) is the champion player, a man too talented for his own good. The Corporation has taken away the woman Jonathan loves (Maud Adams, Octopussy) but it can't take away his soul, even if diabolical corporate head (John Houseman, The Paper Chase) tells him he d better retire... or suffer the old-fashioned way. With it's surrealistic imagery and tense action sequences, Rollerball grips you by the heart and never let's you go! Norman Jewison's now classic Sc-Fi film portrays a near-future in the aftermath of the Corporate Wars, in which nations have crumbled and conglomerates rule. In place of freedom the people are given bread and circuses: material comfort and rollerball itself. Played on a circular, slanted track by men on skates and motorbikes, this extreme sport is the ultimate extrapolation of the primitive blood lust implicit in many team sports. James Caan is outstanding as Jonathan E, star player with the Houston team.|

Sorry folks for the slow and spotty service to our site yesterday (1/10/2013). There was work being done in the area and it caused general service interuptions.
We experienced poor internet accessability and noticed far fewer visitors than normal to the site. There was a point over night when all internet service went down. We contacted our ISP this morning to find out they were performing maintenance in our area and had to shut down a hub station at one point.
The maintenance in general caused a bottle neck for data in our area and shutting down the hub took us completely off-line for almost an hour.
This is regretable but well beyond our control. We are sorry if this impacted you and access to our data.
